5. Web Hosting
What is web hosting?
When you visit websites nowadays, certain information – including personal data – is automatically created and stored, including on this website. This data should be processed as sparingly as possible and only with justification.
By website, we mean the entirety of all web pages on your domain, i.e., everything from the homepage to the very last subpage (like this one). By domain, we mean, for example, example.com or example.co.uk.
Why do we process personal data?
The purposes of data processing are:
- Professional hosting of the website and securing operations
- To maintain operational and IT security
- Anonymous analysis of access behavior to improve our offering
What data is processed?
Even while you are visiting our website right now, our web server – the computer on which this website is stored – typically automatically stores data such as:
- The complete internet address (URL) of the accessed webpage
- Browser and browser version
- The operating system used
- The address (URL) of the previously visited page (referrer URL)
- The hostname and IP address of the device from which access is made
- Date and time
- in files called web server log files
How long is data stored?
As a rule, the above-mentioned data is stored for two weeks and then automatically deleted. We do not pass on this data but cannot rule out that this data may be viewed by authorities in the event of unlawful behavior.
Legal basis
The lawfulness of processing personal data in the context of web hosting results from Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (safeguarding legitimate interests), as the use of professional hosting with a provider is necessary to present the company on the Internet in a secure and user-friendly manner and to pursue attacks and claims arising from this if necessary.
6. Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions.
Processed data:
- Name
- Email address
- Message/inquiry
- Consent declaration (GDPR Consent Checkbox)
Purpose of processing: Processing your contact inquiry and communication with you
Legal basis: The processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
Retention period: Your data will be deleted as soon as the inquiry has been conclusively processed, unless there are statutory retention obligations.
Right of withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent to data processing at any time. An informal notification by email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
7. Cookies
What are cookies?
Our website uses HTTP cookies to store user-specific data. A cookie is a small data packet that is exchanged between a web browser and a web server but is completely meaningless to them and only acquires meaning for the web application, e.g., an online shop, such as the contents of a virtual shopping cart.
Which cookies do we use?
We use the following cookies on our website:
Necessary cookies - These cookies are required for you to navigate through the website and use its features (e.g., cookie consent status)
Functional cookies - These cookies enable the website to remember choices you have made (such as usernames, language)

How can I delete cookies? You decide how and whether you want to use cookies. Regardless of which service or website the cookies come from, you always have the option to delete cookies, deactivate them, or only partially allow them. For example, you can block third-party cookies but allow all other cookies.
You can delete or deactivate cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Legal basis: The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest).

We currently do not use any external analytics services (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.) on this website. Should this change, we will inform you accordingly and, if necessary, obtain your consent.
10. SSL or TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this page uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
